I think it’s Russia that has never forgotten it. It was Putin who said he would invade Poland if we put up a defense system to protect Europe from China, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, etc…

How is it that when we build a defensive missile shield that is a threat, I know why the Soviets were so upset when we began star wars because it would have made useless all those billions of dollars worth of nuclear missiles. But now, when our “friend” Russia says the same things it makes me wonder if it is not them who are still int eh Cold War mindset.

The plan seems to be “screw up every possible strategic relationship the US has”, then the resulting flustercuck will be blamed on the next administration.
Just another day in partisan politics..

  • Fireside says:

Yea, we would have been smart to discuss this with Russia, first.

You’re going to get upset over this? Since when is defense bad? I guess it depends on who you are and what you believe.

  • wolf says:

    No, it can’t happen.
Because the Democrats have now surrendered to every country in the world.

Expanding NATO into the former Soviet Union
and then putting together a missle shield
    Against Who?
If I were the Russians I’d be pissed too

  • susi says:

your sarcasm has not gone unnoticed! Please do NOT believe everything you read. This country was in a cold war for 4 decades and sure wouldn’t put itself back in that untenable position.

I just wanted to clarify to you that my buddies did not become officers after college. They went in as grunts just like everyone else.
