So I Wanna Teach But Im Torn Between 2..can You Help?
So i wanna teach kindergarten but i was wondering what its like =) i imagine it to be so much fun and i love the thought of helping children in their first years of school. but i’m torn between that and becoming a professor because of the better pay and the more intellectual conversations. i also want to make my parents happy because they dont see teaching kindergarten as great as being a professor. plus i dont think i can afford to go to school for much longer because im paying for my own schooling.

Ok, you asked my opinion…..
I think you should do what makes you happy, not what makes your parents happy (except, as a parent myself, please don’t take that as license to do illegal things….). You are paying for your education, so really they have nothing to hold over your head, do they?
To be a professor, you will need a PhD, so expect at least three more
years of school beyond your bachelor’s degree.
Little kids are great, but do you love to interact with them? I’m not exactly getting that vibe from your message, but I could be reading it wrong.
Sorry for being conflicting, but I am trying to look at all the aspects of this.
One final thought – remember, that you can always change careers – many people do it! so, if you find that whatever your choose is not working, then you can do something else!
