PostHeaderIcon Tray Tasking Kindergarten Students?

I have just learned about tray tasking for young students. I have read the two Yahoo answers regarding the topic, yet I am still unclear. I never heard of tray tasking until today. I teach Kindergarten and 1st grade ESL, would these be appropiate for my students? Thanks

Does it have something to do with having tasks on a tray, and students get a tray and take it to their work space? If so, this sounds similar to what I remember from the Montessori school I worked at. Try researching Montessori.

The attached link is for a book entitled: Tray Tasking – Activities That Promote Reading and Writing Readiness.by Victoria Folds. It is a Three Step Tray Tasking: Logic and Critical Thinking Activities for Young Children, so yes, it would definitely be appropriate for your students at the K – 1 level.
Check with the library to see if you can obtain a copy of this book for further clarification, or purchase it outright.
